About the Role:

As a Accounts Assistant at Jarion Ltd, you will report to the Head of Finance and will be responsible for the daily processing of key accounts functions, including cash, bank, purchase ledger, sales ledger, management accounts processing, cashflow forecasting, and contributing to the preparation of financial reports and statements.

The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and be a fantastic team player. The candidate will be able to liaise directly with key internal and external stakeholders.

Day-to-day duties:

  • Sales and Purchase ledger day to day accounting functions across the portfolio of businesses.
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Supporting the cashflow reporting
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts journals
  • Resolving queries and providing solutions
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Working closely with the Head of Finance on the portfolio of group businesses to provide high level accounting services.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • AAT Level 4 (or studying towards)
  • Practice experience advantageous
  • Great communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
  • A proactive and process-driven approach.
  • Able to abide by the Code of Ethics and maintain strict confidentiality
  • Good levels of numeracy and literacy.
  • A team player who works well meeting daily demands.

A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office particularly Excel would be preferred, but training can be provided. Xero knowledge is also advantageous.
