Air Source Heat Pump Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities 

  • Design ASHP systems for customers, and commercial clients 
  • Ensure all project paperwork is checked off and correct 
  • DNO applications 
  • Order materials for installations 
  • Book Installations with customers along with support from the admin team  
  • Coordinate and deliver compliant projects to energy companies for Eco4 and Businesses. 
  • Manage a small team of designers as the company grows 
  • Liase with the installation teams onsite. 

 

Essential Requirements 

Training with ASHP Design software 

 

Skill Requirements 

  • Experience with Heating systems and/or plumbing. 
  • Excellent attention to detail. 
  • Great concentration – allowing you to screen data for long periods. 
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel. 
  • Design experience of at least 1 year in ASHPs 
  • Ability to understand what designs suit each customer’s needs 
  • Great with emails and speaking to clients and customers on the phone 
  • Willingness to continuously learn and develop. (training will be provided) 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Effective organisational skills with the ability to prioritise own workload to meet deadlines. 

 

The Ideal Candidate Will 

  • Be proficient and experienced in IT software programs such as Microsoft Excel, Dropbox, Adobe Document Reader, Outlook, etc. 
  • Strong management skills 
  • ASHP Design knowledge 
  • Solar EasyPV and OpenSolar design knowledge would be a bonus (training will be supplied) 
  • Be flexible in their approach and can work within a team to meet targets when under pressure due to deadlines. 
  • Have strong communication skills – both written and verbal 
  • Have excellent customer service. 
  • Be organised with great time management – the ability to follow a process in its entirety, prioritise and manage multiple tasks at once, and work towards deadlines. 
  • Work quickly and efficiently both alone and as part of a team. 
  • Have a strong attention to detail and willingness to learn. 
  • Be outgoing, bringing a positive approach and a ‘can do’ attitude. 

 

The Offer 

  • £40-45k basic wage

  • Hours are mainly 9-5pm, but this isn’t set in stone, can start earlier or later if easier (9-3pm on a Friday) 
  • Hybrid Role – 3 days from office
