Solar Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality check the compliance of all information about our retrofit installs.
  • Design Solar and battery systems for customers
  • Software such as EasyPV and Open Solar will be used per design
  • Ensure all projects paperwork is checked off and correct
  • Order materials for installations
  • Book Installations with customers and add all details for the project to the installation dairy/calendar
  • Coordinate and deliver compliant projects to energy companies for Eco4

Essential Experience

Must have experience in EITHER Solar Energy or Air Source/ Ground Source Heat Pumps (Ideally both)

Skill Requirements

  • Experience with Eco4 work
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Great concentration – allowing you to screen data for long periods.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Ability to understand what designs suit each customer’s needs
  • Great with emails and speaking to clients and customers on the phone
  • Willingness to continuously learn and develop.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Effective organisational skills with the ability to prioritise own workload to meet deadlines.

The Ideal Candidate Will

  • Be proficient and experienced in IT software programs such as Microsoft Excel, Dropbox, Adobe Document Reader, Outlook, etc.
  • Be flexible in their approach and can work within a team to meet targets when under pressure due to deadlines.
  • Have strong communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Have excellent customer service.
  • Be organised with great time management – the ability to follow a process in its entirety, prioritise and manage multiple tasks at once, and work towards deadlines.
  • Work quickly and efficiently both alone and as part of a team.
  • Have a strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Be outgoing, bringing a positive approach and a ‘can do’ attitude.

The Offer
