Role Purpose

The overall responsibility for the development, performance and maintenance of the commercial activities of the organisation via the internal teams to obtain maximum efficiency, quality, service and profitability. Keeping up to date with commercial opportunities and threats, market developments and changes including government priorities and funding.

Principal Accountabilities

  • To be responsible for ensuring adherence to organisational policies and procedures in the discharging of principal accountabilities and functions.
  • To ensure compliance with and effective completion of all delegated responsibilities as per QMP Organisational Delegated Authority Framework.
  • To support the drive of a customer focused culture through a highly skilled workforce with proactive education of installers.
  • To be responsible for the effective development and timely implementation of agreed commercial strategies to achieve objectives and accelerate net margin growth and monitoring and reporting on the performance of commercial activities using key metrics and preparing reports as required.
  • To be responsible for ensuring that the team has a comprehensive understanding of the impact on profits resulting from all its operations, including the management of stakeholder relationships.
  • To ensure that the team is aware of the importance of effectively managing risk, as it is of the utmost importance of generating compliant commercial growth.
  • To effectively lead a successful marketing department, driving innovation and supporting the various brands across the portfolio and to ensure that appropriate and timely market research and analysis is secured to create detailed business plans for commercial opportunities.
  • To be responsible for having a complete understanding of the requirements of new, existing and potential customers to ensure their needs are being met and that client relationships are being managed effectively.
  • To be responsible for understanding and accurately analysing the competitive landscape and updating the leadership team of any significant developments.
  • To be responsible for effectively collaborating with and coordinating diverse project teams to ensure market share is increased and growth targets are achieved.
  • Responsible for driving significant improvements in efficiency, costs and ideas which contribute to continual improvement of the business.
  • To be responsible for adhering to and maintaining all the principles of Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulation in all areas of the postholder’s work, and paying particular regard to the following:
    • Consumer Duty, Principle 12 – A firm must act to deliver good outcomes for retail clients.
    • Communications to Clients and Financial Promotions (Insurance Conduct of Business Sourcebook ICOBS 2.2)
  • To be responsible for comprehensive cover for the business as required.
  • Responsible for ensuring timely management and escalation, where appropriate, of any enquiries received from our insurer ensuring a satisfactory conclusion is reached within SLA.
  • To be responsible for consistently operating within the framework of our ISO 9001 Quality Management System, working within the principles of the system and driving future improvements to our QMS.
  • To establish, maintain and develop positive relationships with external stakeholders, colleagues, visitors and other individuals visiting or working in the Company and the wider group.
  • To represent the company as an honest, knowledgeable, and conscientious ambassador.
  • To take responsibility for ensuring and achieving the objectives of the company’s Health and Safety Policy.
  • To undertake any other duties in order to meet personal, team and organisational objectives following consultation with your line manager.
