We’re looking for an organised and experienced Bookkeeper to join the growing Jarion finance team to manage the Jarion portfolio of businesses.

Job Title: Bookkeeper

Salary: £25k – £30k

Hours: 37.5hrs. Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5pm

Working Pattern: Hybrid

About the role 

As a qualified bookkeeper at Jarion Ltd, you will report to the Head of Finance and will be responsible for the daily processing of key accounts functions such as cash, bank, purchase ledger, sales ledger, management accounts processing and VAT returns.

The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and be a fantastic team player. The candidate will be able to liaise directly with key internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Purchase ledger day-to-day accounting functions across the portfolio of businesses.
Bank reconciliations
Maintaining a daily cashflow for multiple businesses and supporting the cashflow reporting
Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts journals
Resolving queries and providing solutions
Preparation of VAT returns
Working closely with the Head of Finance on the portfolio of group businesses to provide high level accounting services.

 

Our ideal candidate will have

The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience handling accounts for a range of clients and strong IT skills with experience in accounts software. This candidate will ideally be AAT or part ACCA qualified or have a strong relevant background in bookkeeping or accounts. If you are interested in broadening your experience, this will be an excellent opportunity as training can be provided.

 

They will also have

Great communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
A proactive and process-driven approach.
Able to abide by the Code of Ethics and maintain strict confidentiality
Good levels of numeracy and literacy.
A team player who works well meeting daily demands.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office particularly Excel (preferred)
Xero knowledge (advantageous)
