A meticulous, organised and driven Senior Quality Assurance Officer with experience of an FCA regulated business and ISO 9001?
Due to the growth the business is experiencing we are recruiting for an exceptional Senior Quality Assurance Officer to join our Quality team.
As a Senior Quality Assurance Officer, you will play an integral part in our business success by overseeing Quality Assurance Officers in their daily duties ensuring compliance.
As Senior Quality Assurance Officer you’ll need to:
- Support, coach and develop Quality Assurance Officers within the team
- Prioritise monitoring based on business demands and risk
- Successfully complete quality assurance tasks including control testing on processes and individual customer interactions using a risk based approach
- To be responsible for the management of the ISO 9001 QMS, working within the principles of the system and driving future improvements to the QMS and ensuring that the QMS remains an accurate and reliable point of reference for the organisation utilising established document control processes and practices.
- Be meticulous in your approach to all tasks ensuring accuracy of data and all communication.
- Establish strong relationships with internal stakeholders to enable the raising of any recommendations for business process improvements identified through the monitoring outcomes with associated rationale.
- Conducting impartial audits of the organisation performance in key areas and supporting the development of both containment and corrective actions to improve performance.
- Champion best practice across various departments by supporting with post implementation review and evaluation of results; including recording individual competency results and outline of root causes.
- Be responsible for maintaining all external accreditations ensuring that the integrity of the QMS is maintained when changes to the QMS are planned and implemented.
- Ability to effectively challenge existing processes and, identify any potential training needs, emerging trends and systemic reoccurring breaches of policies and procedures and escalating as appropriate.
- Strong written and verbal communication enabling succinct and clear monitoring and observation reports.
- Challenge the monitoring process and suggest where appropriate any improvements.
- To be responsible for ensuring adherence to organisational policies and procedures in the discharging of principal accountabilities and functions.
- To be responsible for adhering to FCA Individual Conduct Rules escalating concerns as appropriate.

You must
- Live within a 40 minute commute of Buckshaw Village in Lancashire
- Have strong critical thinking and analytical skills
- Have at least 2 years experience in a Quality Assurance role
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Be highly organised with the ability to manage own time and team workload and priorities
- Be flexible and have a ‘can do’ attitude
- Have experience working in a FCA regulated firm
- Be knowledgeable in ISO 9001 QMS and maintaining the QMS
- Ideally have an Internal Auditing certificate
- Must be able to cope with the fast-paced environment
- Must be able to absorb knowledge and learn about the business
- Be honest, loyal, committed, hardworking and a positive attitude towards work
Our Ideal Candidate will have
- Experience within an FCA regulated business
- Experience of managing an ISO 9001 QMS
- Have at least 2 years experience in a Quality Assurance role
- Attention to detail – with the ability to ensure 100% accuracy
- Well-developed, cross-functional collaboration skills — to work effectively with different established departments
- Strong communication skills — highly developed written and verbal communication with the ability to objectively stay focused
- Fast learner — able to absorb and utilise new information quickly.
- A methodical and logical approach – ability to identify and prioritise critical risks first
